i have a form called "IndentTransferOrders" and a table added in the datasource "inventTransferParmTable". added table and field in the design field but it is not showing the value in the form. if anybody knows please post the solution. Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by "a table added in the datasource inventTransferParmTable"? Do you mean that you joined your table with InventTransferParmTable? How did you do it?

in design, i have a field. it's properties "Datasource" set to "InventTransferParmTable" and "Field" set to "TransDate"

So "i have a table added in the datasource inventTransferParmTable" doesn't means that you added any table or any datasource; all changes you made was adding a field bound to an existing datasource. Is that correct?

Does InventTransferParmTable contain any data? Isn't is joined with any other table?

in this form value fro "Posted on" field is not showing. i have already set the field properties datasource to "InventTransferParmTable"

and field to "TransDate". But it is not showing the value here in the form.

Aha, so it's about the standard form InventTransferOrders, not about some custom form IndentTransferOrders.

But there isn't any datasource InventTransferParmTable, is it? InventTransferParmTable is used for posting, not here.

yes. Exactly "changes you made was adding a field bound to an existing datasource". and Table has the values. but it is not showing up in the form.

That's what I asked about and you said you merely added a field...

All right, now please tell us why you've added InventTransferParmTable to this form. What's the purpose? Do you realize that orders don't have any InventTransferParmTable record before posting? And that one order may be used in several postings?

After explaining your business reasoning, please tell us how you joined or linked InventTransferParmTable and to which datasource.
