Licensing for Approval through E-Mail

Hi:
 
Is a Business Central license required for a person who is going to conduct any sort of a workflow approval through e-mail?
 
If so, is this where a Team Member license is required?

    Hi, generally, yes. Because this requires a change in the status of your approval details, it requires at least a Team Member license.

    It all depends how the approval must be sent to this mail-approving user.
     
    If your process requires addressing User information (which  makes sense, you will eventually need their e-mail), the mail-approver will have to exist as a Business Central user.
    And a user requires a license. In this case, a Team-Member, as you already suggested.
     
    If ,on the other hand, you have a customization and/or PowerAutomate flow... the previous answer is void and incomplete. And in a way even unanswerable unless full diclosure about the customization is provided.
