Quantity of numbers in Pre allocation of number sequence

Posted on by 5
We have enabled pre-allocation for Purchase order number sequence. The number of purchase orders we are importing through OData is around 1800 daily. In this scenario, what is the ideal value for the 'Quantity of numbers' in pre allocation setup?

    Hi,
Considering the daily volume of 1800 purchase orders, you could set the ‘Quantity of numbers’ to a higher value, such as 2000 or even higher, to ensure an ample supply of numbers for your daily imports. This ensures that you have a buffer to handle any unexpected increase in purchase orders or any temporary spikes in volume.
It’s important to monitor the usage and consumption of the pre-allocated numbers to ensure that you have a sufficient supply for your business needs. You can review the consumption rate periodically and adjust the ‘Quantity of numbers’ accordingly if needed.
    Best regards,
    Kevin
