dynamics.exe error after Upgrade to GP 10 SP3

I have just finished upgrading the servers and workstations to Dynamics GP 10.0.  There is only one workstation that gives me the following error:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library; Runtime Error; Dynamics.exe; abnormal program termination.

As anyone had this error occur before? I am working with Dynamics support, but they have not come up with a solution.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Debbie:

It sounds like you have a corrupt Forms or Reports dictionary. I have had this happen to me every time I have installed SP 3 so far. To correct the issue you need to recreate the Forms or Reports dictionary using a pre-upgrade backup of the dictionary. Let me know you aren't sure how to recreate the dictionary files.

    Hi Kevin --

    Thanks for the response.

Unfortunately if it were a corrupt Report dictionary, all of my workstations (5 in all) would be experiencing the same problem.

Microsoft did stream into my machine and the problem could not be recreated. The program worked as it should. Because I am the system administrator, Dynamics 10.0 is conflicting with one of my already installed programs.

    Thanks again for the response

    Debbie:

I'm glad to hear that you have resolved the problem.

In regards to the corrupt reports dictionary, I had an issue with SP3 that involved a corrupt reports dictionary that only affected one workstation even though there are 30 + workstations that share the same reports dictionary that did not experience the issue. I was pretty sure the problem wasn't related to the reports dictionary because we were only experiencing it on one computer, but as soon as I recreated the reports dictionary the problem was solved on that computer.

     Hi Debbie

    Couple of thoughts

First is that recreating the recports dictionary, if you have an issue after service patch(pack) update should always be done a first response.  Although on version 10, the export import no longer appears, it is still taking place.  That's why one should always apply these type of upgrades sequentially on the workstations, rather then trying to do more than one at the same time.

Second, there is a C++ runtime piece that is available from ms downloads called the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package".  Sometimes the remove/add of that piece helps
