Limited user - cannot enter purchase order

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

What task needs to be assigned to a limited GP user so that they can enter purchase orders?  Purch_TRX01 is checked for their profile but all they can do is enter requisitions. We are not using requisitions and need to just enter PO's

    Hi Deanne,

The only option to give access is by going to user setup and change limited to full access,  then the user become full user.

A Limited user is restricted based on the licence type so giving access to PO Entry will not allow the user to see things the Licence type says they can't.

Yes, even if you have granted security rights, it will not override the fact that you are dealing with a Limited User.

    Kind regards,

Even if we've given the user rights to enter PO's in GP?

Only users with a Full licence type can create POs.

A Limited licence allows for enquiring and reporting and data entry in "light" windows such as Purchase Requisitions and PTE Timesheets and Expenses.

A Self Server user can only do the data entry in "light" windows.
