Why is Bing Maps Control disabled on Custom Entity ? Is it possible to enable it ?

I have enabled bing maps through system settings and it works fine on an OOB entity. But for a custom entity it is disabled. Is there a way supported way to add bing maps to a custom entity ?

Bing map control is only available to those set of entities where we have Address composite control, it's not available for every entity.

But you can refer: a33ik.blogspot.in/.../adding-standard-bing-map-control-to.html

Hello,

Supported way is to build own webresource that will do geocoding for you.

If you're ok with small unsupport you can use following article for a start - butenko.pro/.../microsoft-crm-2013-adding-standard-bing-map-control-to-forms-of-custom-entities I wrote it for CRM 2013 but I assume that approach should be the same.

No, you can't. Control is bound to text field.
