Is there are way to prevent a subset of users from being able to see an area within a Unified Interface App.
We have these areas:
Ideally we'd want to prevent users from accessing or seeing 'Service Management' is there a way to do this? Or would we have to create an entirely new app and then set the permissions accordingly from there?

Try to cancel the permissions of all tables under 'service management' in the user's security role.
You could check which tables are included under this entity and try to cancel the permissions of all tables.

The only thing that I can think of is to limit privileges to groups/subgroups for those users.
If the user doesn't have privileges to access a single group/subgroup under the area - it won't be shown.
