Dynamics 365 app for outlook - Campaign lookup is disabled on Lead form

Hi,

I have a campaign lookup field on the lead quick create form. It is a simple lookup with no customizations. However, the lookup is disabled on the form and doesn't let me select a value. Is there a way to get this working?

A couple of my observations:-

- A user lookup field on the same form works fine so I looked at the User entity properties to check the differences. Not sure if this is the cause but Enable for Mobile option is disabled for Campaign, whereas it is enabled for User entity. Could this be causing the campaign lookup to not work?

- As a workaround, I wrote a script to hide the field on the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook but the app returns the client type as WEB instead of Outlook. Has anyone seen this behavior?

Please suggest what I can do to fix this issue.

Regards,

Sravya

Check the “Enable for mobile” & uncheck “Read-only in mobile” for campaign entity.

I read somewhere Outlook app will be using IE as rendering engine & that’s why getting client as web. We experienced ES6 script issues.

Hopefully MS will be fixing lot of things in continuous deployments. :)

I raised a support ticket with MS on this one and found that this is a limitation with the Outlook Client, as it uses Unified Interface . There wasn't any work-around too for the issue.

Here's the link to the information about the entities that work with Dynamics 365 App for Outlook for your reference:
