The DIXF stopped to work on all server, I believe was some Windows Update (maybe on SQL Server 2016). Now is showing the error "The version of Microsoft Excel is not supported."

How can I fix it?

AccessDatabaseEngine_X64 is installed.

    Hi,

Please have a look at the following LCS issues:

Issue 3740024"The version of Microsoft Excel is not supported" error when importing an Excel file in batch model

Microsoft has evaluated this issue, and has determined that this functionality is working as designed.

It is a limitation in SSIS.

There is a workaround for this issue.

    1. Use ODBC instead of file. ODBC can be created for the excel file and then use it as source. Steps - technet.microsoft.com/.../dn144989.aspx (attached email for same).

    2. Try to install this - www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx.

Install 64-bit using command line and use /passive.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

I have reinstalled the Access engine 2010 using the passive command. About the ODBC, we need to use the file (CSV).

    Hello Rafael,

Do you still receive the same error message after the reinstall or another one?

    Best regards,

    Hi Rafael,

Go to Windows Event Viewer and check for more error details.

Do not have nothing related with AX in Event Viewer.

Is this for Import or export or both? If you not resolved it yet, can you save your excel as 97-2003 workbook and try?

    Hi Ajit,

I did, but I got the same error message. I opened a Microsoft Support Request, but the Microsoft Engineer do not solved yet. I sent a lot information and I'm waiting the solution. When I received the solution, I will update here.

    Thanks!

Hi Tendor, the issue was in TLS Protocol. The IT disabled the TLS 1.2 and I needed to request to enabled again. After I installed an update to DIXF works with TLS 2.0.
