Let's say I have two interest types for my contacts: tennis and golf. Some contacts are interested in tennis, some in golf, and some are interested in both. Using Advanced Find, is there a way to search for contacts that are interested in only one of these two? For example, say I'm trying to run a search for contacts interested in golf, but not interested in tennis. I would think my search should be set up as such:
Look for: Contacts
Related Field: Interests (Contact)
Interest Type Equals Golf
Interest Type Does not Equal Tennis
However, this does not work. This search would result in a list of contacts who are interested in golf, but it does not exclude from that contacts who are also interested in tennis. It appears as if CRM only looks at one interest type at a time, and can't compare a contacts interests to each other. My question is this: How would I, using Advanced Find, procure a list of contacts interested in golf, but not additionally interested in tennis? Is this achievable?
Thank you for your help,
A Confused Intern

It looks like your Interests are in a separate entity with the contact having a one-to-many relationship with interests. Is that correct? If so, you might be able to pull them all into a marketing list and then remove those with an interest in tennis.
