Bulk edit error in CRM 2016

Hi

When I select multiple records and click on edit button , I'm getting below error ..

"An error has occurred. The selected action was not completed for one or more records".

An only one record is updated. The bulk functionality is running for other entities but not for which I'm working on.

Could anybody tell me a solution for this ?

    only one record gets updated

    lets say you select two records for multiple edit and you get the error, what happens when you try to edit those two particular records?

    I did this but still I'm facing same problem

    Hi Snehal,

    I was in a similar kind of situation. The issue was that some of the selected records were in inactive state, thus preventing the edit operation. If that's not the case then you try by selecting few records first.

    Its a custom entity

    Entity is having organization level ownership and I checked security roles access is given to all actions

    I think user dont have the privilege  to edit few records. Check Security Roles. May be he is having read only permission for the records you are trying to edit

    Hi Snehal,

     how many records do you have in the selection? Can you isolate the one that's causing the error, and, then, try updating it normally? I suspect there is an error from some worfklow/plugin (which is just not displayed property when using bulk edit)
