Can't delete Item categories

Hi,

fairy new to BC, and have gotten my items categories setup wrong.
so i would like to delete the item categories, but the "bin" is grey.
Is there some sort of acces i don't have? i am sole responsible for the business, so there should be no obstacles.

Open the item category card and then delete it from the following action, the other delete action are greyed out:
