I have created a workflow which assigned lead to user which has System Administrator rights.

Its not working.

There are 2 user which has System role assigned.

1) User 1

2) User 2

When I assign lead to User 1 it works. and It doesn't work when I assign lead to User 2. Where is the problem.

Unable to assign lead to another user.
We understand you're facing an issue where your workflow isn't assigning leads to User 2, who has the System Administrator role, while it works for User 1. Here are some potential reasons and troubleshooting steps:
    • Security Role: Double-check the security roles assigned to each user and ensure both have the necessary privileges for assigning and owning leads.
    • User Field Permissions: Verify if User 2 has the required field permissions on the lead record. Specific fields might impact the assignment process.
    • Workflow Configuration: Review the workflow configuration specifically for the "assign to" step. Ensure the user field is targeting the correct user, and the logic behind the assignment is accurate.
    • Look for any error messages displayed when attempting to assign to User 2. These can offer valuable clues.
    • Check if User 2 is disabled or has any restrictions on their account that might prevent ownership of leads.
There are third-party solutions available, such as the Lead Assignment and Distribution Automation app by Inogic, that can automate lead assignment based on specific criteria.
With Lead Assignment and Distribution Automation, you can:
    • Automatically distribute incoming leads and work items in a Round Robin fashion
    • Assign work items based on individual work capacity of each user
    • Automate assigning work items based on the availability status of users
    • Assign work items to users based on predefined time periods, such as daily, weekly, or monthly.
If you want to know more about the app, consider visiting our online docs site.
If you are interested in trying the app for your lead assignment need withing Dynmaics 365 CRM, download your 15-day free trial from Inogic website or Microsoft AppSource.

    Hi Mithilesh,

User access mode is already Read-Write.

  • RE: Unable to assign lead to another user.

    Scope is already organization.

    Hi Anil,

Open User Record and see if the Administration Tab. The Access Mode should be Read-Write.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks

    Anil,

What is the error message when it is nor working?

Well, if they are the Users with System Administrator role but not working for one of them and it is related to workflow, can you check the Scope, set to Organization if other than this.

    Hope this can help.

    Thank you.

How to fix this. Its urgent for me

  • RE: Unable to assign lead to another user.

I just created a new lead and select assign to another user or team. When I select User 1 it works but I select User 2 it doesn't. Both are system administrator role users.
