Hi Experts,

I have 1 query. i want to know what is the use of Dimensions in Sales & Receivable setup. As these values not flow further and even i don't find this value as by default on Sales Docs. Please suggest me what is the use of Dimension on sales & receivable setup?

Hi

These dimensions are used when you are setting up analysis line templates, and you select either the salesperson or the customer group as the line type.

Hello,

The Customer Group and Salesperson dimension in Sales & receivables setup is used for customer groups and Salesperson in your analysis report.

You will see usages of these field in -

1. Analysis Lines.

2. Item Budget Entries.

3. Analysis report Management.

4. Insert Analysis Lines.

Those fields are optional. Customer Group Dimension Code is to define a default dimension for customer groups. For instance, if you set this to "CUSTOMERGROUP," any analysis report can display data segmented by different customer groups. Same is for Salesperson Dimension Code.

if user generates a sales report, they could group/filter the results based on these dimensions for performance tracking.
