Can't remove items from related records navigation

I have an issue where I see 2 navigation items in the common are of the related records navigation on the Account entity.  Both show associated accounts but have unique names in the menu.  When I go into the form editor, these 2 items don't appear in the navigation pane.  I have tried removing all navigation items from the common group, but still the group appears with those 2 pesky items in it - when you remove all items for a group, the group should no longer display.  I've tried exporting the solution and searching the xml for the names of these 2 navigation items and they are not in there.  We are on Dynamics 365 online and I'm seeing this both in 8.2 and 9.

Anyone have any ideas on how these menu items can be removed?

    Possible reasons:

1.You may be checking in different forms. Verify if you have multiple forms, these relationship navigation items were removed from all forms

2.Open the relationship from customizations, then change the display option properties to “Do not display” & test

    Hi,

In addition to above, publish all customization and try in a different browser/ inprivate/incognito mode. This could be caching issue.
