Form level and Field Level Security

Hi,

I have a question regarding security permission assignment to a specific user. Can we restrict users to not show other forms for example I just want my A/P user only can access relevant forms like Vendors, Purchase Invoices, Posted purchase invoices but with specific security permissions? and don't want to allow purchase order posting for this user.

Is this possible if yes so please advise me how we can manage this in Business Central.

Below are the attached Screenshots

I want to remove posting button for A/P User without any development

Thanks & regards

You can create a specific profile for this user and hide the buttons for that profile using personalization for the profile. Then combine that with the permission setup that exclude the users from being able to post.

    Look at more documentation here:

That link for "Microsoft Learn - Field Level Security" is for Customer Engagement--not for Business Central.

For BC field level and ribbon-button security, you need an add-on like "Advanced Cloud Security" from E-Foqus.

Hi, Generally uses Permission Set -> Permission to manage user permissions in BC. I hope the following information can give you some hints.

How to list all permissions (all users with permission sets or all permission sets with permissions…)

    https://yzhums.com/8417/

Permission Exclusion (Exclude in Permission Set)

    https://yzhums.com/30562/

    Special Permission Sets

And, there are also solutions from other partners on AppSource.

    Thanks.
