GP 2016 - inconsistent date format

Is there any way to change format in the TRX date and other date related fields to dd/mm/yyyy as we always had with previous GP versions?

Thank you!!!

The issue:

We recently upgraded our GP and found that now the dates are reported in different formats when you run different reports:

- when run SmartList Account Transactions the date format is mm/dd/yyyy

- when run SmartList Audits the date format is dd/mm/yyyy

When you request a date in the TRX Date it comes with the mm/dd/yyyy as well.

    Hi,

If you go to Tools>Setup>Posting you will see this screen here, you can indicate relative to posting which date to use, either from the batch or the transaction, we use GP2013.

The date format I would specify/makes changes via settings from the user's machine.

    Hope this helps

    Regards

Thank you Rosemary. I have tried to make changes to the date format through the settings on my machine but with no success.

I wonder if the problem we have is because we are on the web based client.

    Hi Iryna

I would suggest it is related to the web based client.  For a physical install, the GP date format pulls from the regional settings on the computer.  So you may find that it is pulling based on the setup on the web server or similar.

I don't know for sure how it pulls in the web client - I think it is going to be some combination of user system date that is running the web page / sql server system date / web server system date.

Hope that gives you something to work from.

    Cheers

    Heather
