Data entities for Global Address Book

Dear Experts,

If we want to create the global address book means we will obtain the data from custmer so in that case which all data entities shall I exprt to create the template ?

    Hi Vivek,

    Global address book will be populated when you create customer/vendor/contact where partyId is present.

    I could not understand the reason for creating the GAB . can you explain your requirement?

    Can you elaborate on your question? I'm not able to understand what you want to achieve and what you mean with "the template".

    Global address book is auto created when you enter an address. So, for customer, vendor, employee etc. the global address book will be auto created, and you will not need any template for that.

    You will need template or data entity to import the individual masters.

    Hi Andrew,

    When we are implementaing for a new organization so from the GLobal Address Book perspective which all masters shall be exported so that on there customer can fill there data and we can import it back .

    So am not sure which all masters and sub masters shall be considered ( Data entity/ template) , I want to import all the contacts in system .

    Hope its clear now so in totality want to cover each which falls under Global Address Book data .

    Requirement is to import all the parties which are avavilable in the organization .

    So I want to complete that task , how it is possible and which all masters and sub masters shall be considered and there related data entities respectively.

    Hi vivek

    There is a Data Entity called Global Address Book v2 that you can use for adding parties to the Global Address Book.

    Look for other Data Entities beginning with the word Party for adding contacts and addresses to parties in the GAB.
