Hi Experts,
Our client is from Singapore, and we need to configure GST rates as standard product. Also they need GST reports.
In Business Central how can we configure? kindly suggest.
Thanks you are right, changing LCY is right answer.
Hi Tabrez - The link highlights D365 Finance not D365 BC
For default currency, change the LCY Code and symbol in general ledger setup to SGD
Regarding partner apps, that's your best (and probably "ONLY") shot to configure Singapore related taxation and reporting in BC. Standard BC W1 Version offers VAT posting setup, but it is not catered to Singapore localization very specifically so you may fall short of certain reporting features, etc.
I know these apps are paid, they are not free. However, you can reach out to these app's sales team for a trial version or a demo of their products capabilities and assess accordingly which apps meet your customer's requirement and their price point. The customer you are configuring the BC Environment for, will eventually pay for these apps if they need the Singapore taxation enabled with all the necessary reports. Even if your customer does not end up buying these apps, the least you can do is schedule a demo and then let the customer assess how each app will add value to your BC
Hi Anwar,
Why not try the below Microsoft Documentation: May this help you and you will get some idea how to setup?
Generate the Singapore GST-05 report
Don't forget to LIKE & VERIFY, if it helps!
Thanks
Hi Rahul,
Thank you for your swift reply.
As suggested by you, in My Setting screen, I change the language to English Australia (English Singapore is not available in the list), but still VAT captions are appearing not GST.
Not sure what else I need to do.
Yes its Saas subscription.
Partner Apps are not able to download, all are paid version, trial is not available.
What do I missed? kindly suggest. Also the default currency is showing as GBP not SGD.
Hi Anwar - I Presume that the client might be using the W1 version of BC SaaS, since there no Singapore specific localization available from Microsoft for now.
In W1 database, you have the monopoly to use the VAT Posting Setup as usual. Change your company's language to English Singapore or English Australia if you want to see GST instead of VAT in field captions learn.microsoft.com/.../finance-setup-vat
You can also think about downloading/installing apps from AppStore which cater to providing SG Specific GST Reporting & Calculation
