Hello Guys!

I would like to achieve that user who is logged in can open the predefined Word template when Contact is selected on the Entity List or on Contacts Entity form. Is this supported?

Just a thought, you can create the Word Template in CRM and attach it to the Contact's Notes. And on Portal expose the Notes in order to view/download the attachments.

Only keep in mind, it may create performance impact in future.

Didn't try though.

Dynamic.. Every user should have different data.

Hi Miha,

Will be the Predefined Word Template having dynamic data based on Portal Logged in User Like the name, Email, Mobile etc? Or will it be common for all the portal contacts?

Hello, the only idea I have got is to develop web service who renders json object and returns formatted pdf document. Web service could be called from client side using jquery. But that seems to much work to achive the functionallity that is already supported within CRM system. Any other suggestions should be welcome. Thanks.

Seems doable but beleve it would be too much effort & time. I would rather think for some alternate solution if possible as per the business requirement

I don't think document template are supported in portals yet.
