Hi All,

When I try to Point D365 F&O UAT Azure SQL DB to DEV, I'm getting below error message.

A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the pre-login handshake. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The semaphore timeout period has expired.) (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)

Steps followed: Added DEV IP address and enable write access for UAT from LCS. entered credentials to DEV SQl server (server name, sql cred: username, pwd, database name)

Can anyone help me to resolve this error please

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

I guess the issue is due to the firewall.

please try to connect from another computer (don't forget to add the new Ip address).

    Best regards,

    Hi,

Believe you have configurated these parameters in the web.config file and saved your original web.config in a different location, as per the documentation link mentioned below.

The other stuff that you need to enable is to ensue that you by pass the firewall to include the local host machine IP address (Cloud machine on which the SQL Server Management studio resides) within Dynamics Lifecycle Services -> <YourprojectName> -> <theenvironmenttoConnectTo> and follow the screen clips mentioned below.

Happy to answer questions, if any. Hope this helps.

Do you have any VPN while connecting to server? Because error doesn't seem to be coming from SSMS.

    Hi,

You can follow my blog that I wrote about connecting Test/UAT to Dev Environment.

It seems you don't do enable access to your Dev Box IP Address.

    Thanks,
    Waed Ayyad
