Business Application workloads?

Hello!

I am new to MS-Dynamics and I keep hearing about "workloads".  I've been an avid user of other CRM systems before, and I've even designed workflows and business processes...  But "workloads"??  Can someone please explain what exactly is meant by "workloads" in MS-Dynamics?

Many thanks,

BE

There is nothing specific in Dynamics that is called a workload. Like any other system, Dynamics is a web app that has workload that is compromised of how many users use it and the functionality provided by the system. A dynamics system can have a high workload if used to do a lot of work by a lot of users, or a low workload if not.

The term workload in context of dynamics may also mean how much API requests are being made by the system (currently Dynamics has a limit on the API calls and after that you pay more money). Or in terms of Dynamics portal, a workload may mean how many users login into the portal (again, you got a price for the portal based on that number).

Unless you heard the term in a very specific term, please share it and I may be able to give more info.

    Thank you

    Omar

    Hi,
maybe you have listened or read some Microsoft messaging about Business Applications, where they are talking about those workloads? Workload will be in that sense like Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain, Dynamics Sales and Customer Insights, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Field Service, and Contact Center, Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Role-based Copilots (ex. Copilot for Sales), Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Hope this match to your question :)
