Migrating self-created NAV2013-RDLC-Reports to BC19 > Best-Practice

Hello,

We are in the process of migration from NAV 2013 to BC19 (On-Prem) and next on the to-do list are the reports. Since we have already migrated many CUs and pages to AL for BC, the AL part (i.e. the dataset) of the reports should optimistically not be a problem either. Or would you give me a few special features or pitfalls to take into account?

However, it is still completely unclear to me how I can best/most effectively adopt the RDLC report layouts.
The report layouts are available to us from NAV2013 in RDLC format (created with Visual Studio 2010) and can theoretically also be opened with the Report Designer by renaming the file extension from RDLC to RDL. Unfortunately, these "renamed" RDL files cannot be reused directly in BC!? So far, I could only migrate a report by generating a new empty RDL file via BC when compiling and then using the Report Designer to place the old and new files next to each other and copy the objects from old to new. In addition, I still have to compare all the poperties and settings.

Is there a better way?
Someone told me that migrating to BC14 first might help. But that's not a good option for me since I don't have BC14 installed.
How would you go about this?

Best Regards,
Ralf
