What is the "Default 80 GB"?

Posted on by 3,482

Hi:

The link below covers migrating to Business Central.  Within this article, there is a section entitled "Consider reducing the amount of data that you migrate".

What is the "default 80 GB" that the article mentions?  Is 80 GBs some sort of initial limit for a Business Central company database in the cloud?

Thanks!

John

Yes, as per Microsoft if you are working on Oncloud version, so its a default limit defined of DB size 80 GB with the combination of Sandbox and Production environment, but yes there are ways as suggested by others to increase the size of DB anytime.

Hi, just to add some info.

You can find information about this capacity limit in the Admin Center.

And, regarding the capacity limit of Cloud Migration, I once asked Microsoft, and the following is their reply.

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.

Yes, the total size of all production + sandbox environments should not be more then 80Gb.
