Upon completing an MO, a JE is generated to the GL, but doesn't post because of the following message "Distribution account is missing". This message appears underneath the WIP Labor account. In the Item Card of the item that is being manufactured, the accounts for manufacturing are all populated except for Machine Fixed Overhead and Machine Variance Overhead accounts. That shouldn't be an issue. Is there a setting to resolve this message?

You need to revise the WIP accounts in your setup, there are primarily four main areas to consider;

In case you have account level security activated, there is a possibility that you don't have access on the account.
