Marketing Event Form Error: Exception in creation of contact. Exception: Contact should be linked to a Parent Account

I'm trying to use a Marketing Form for events. However I receive the error in the subject. The Form Type is Event Registration.

We are required to have an parent account for all contacts which is the reason we need to generate new leads if the contact is not recognized. I feel like l'm overlooking something, but can find any documentation about what that might be.

    Adjust my settings to what? All I want the event form to do is create new leads because our contacts are required to have a Parent Account.

    The error seems to be coming from a custom plugin / flow / wf on create of contact, the OOB Marketing form submission. The contact that is getting created by marketing doesn't have the parent account set. Try implementing a pre create plugin to make it work.
