Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi there!  I use Dynamics 365.

I have a solution which has this while exporting:

I can add this things manually to current solution, then reexport without warnings.

But question is:

Can it be problems when I import this solution to another organization, in wich some of solutions contains same components (including different version of component)?

Maybe incorrect question. I mean for example I adding button in site map, and it requires that Dynamics must has SiteMapCustomization component (for example in my organization it 1.8 version).

But if I add something from this component to solution while exporting (for fix missing component problem), can this broke the system, where installed SiteMapCustomization version 2.0 (for example)?

Does Microsoft have mehanism, that can solve it dissmiss?

If component has version, for example it component from by Dynamics 365 publisher. Which will be priority? Component which Included in imported solution or latest version component?

    I have this context.

    Hi,

    Of course YES.

For example, you have an option set with this 3 values X, Y, Z in your goal system.

In your source system the same optionset as 4 possibilities X,Y,Z and A. If you created a plugin, workflow, Jscript, Business rules which set under certain conditions this field to A. You will get errors.

So be really careful when you do that. It is not a "must" but a "should" that you have always the same version of solutions between your instances.
