Decentralised on-premises Business Central and hybrid cloud sync

I have a client who has multiple international businesses, some of which do not have reliable internet comms.

They are looking to deploy Business Central on-prem at business 1 initially and we'll setup the hybrid sync to BC cloud.

Once the dust has settled, we'll deploy Business Central on-prem at business 2.

Because of internet comms, each business must have an on-prem deployment, they can't rely on each others infrastructure.

The question is.... If both are setup with the hybrid model, synchronising data up to BC cloud. Does the BC cloud portal have to be a separate portal for each company?

Can business 1 & 2 sync to it's own company in the 1 central BC cloud portal for the group? Thus allowing them to potentially run consolidated reports?

1) Yes, it must be a separate tenant.

2) No with Intelligent Cloud (it's 1:1). For that you should implement a custom data synch/consolidation, maybe using web services or APIs.
