Hello,
I see that the journal of my batch jobs only saves information about previously launched batch jobs for a month. Is this set up somewhere? I see the history of my batch job only for one month.
Thank you.
Hi,
Please check if there is any batch job setting for the batch job history clean up,
I'm sorry I accidentally marked your answer as abusive. I will write to support that I did this accidentally. BUt still can't find where to set up batch job history in AX 2009. IN AX 2012 it was in system administration but in AX2009 it's not.
Are you saying you cant find batch job history? in your initial question it seems you are missing old history of batch more than 1 month.
Please confirm what is the ask.
OK. I use russian GUI version of 2009 and there is no option to switch to english version. So I go to
Basic > Inquiries > Batch job
There I choose any batch job and then on the right hand side there is a button called "batch job journals" and there I only see info for one month back to past. I translate word by word from russian. Therefore I think it's set up somewhere
In D365 it's set up in System Administration > Periodic Tasks > Batch Job History Clean-up. But where it is in 2009?
Ah, if its not there in 2009, you need to check in batch job only, if there is any custom batch job there which clean up the history.
OK. Thanks. I will try to find it somewhere in 2009.))
Hi Azat,
There is "Delete" button (on the right side, not red cross) on the batch job history form where you can trigger mass delete. But as I remember there is no batch job OOB for history clean-up in AX 2009.
Hi Sergei,
The strange thing history of the particular batch job is saved only for one month. So I think it's set up somwhere. Otherwise how does the system know that only one month batch jobs launches info must be saved?
On the screenshot below it's visible where I press and what I see
It could be a custom batch job, you can try to search for it in the list of batch jobs.
Still maybe it's set up somewhere in the system? If not it must be something that deletes records from BatchJObHistory table, right? Either batch job as yo said or maybe some code?
