Reopening Finished Production Orders?

Hello and thank you in advance for anyone who can help with this probably simple question.

Our team sometimes changes the status of a Production Order to "Finished" and we are told once you change the status you cannot change it back to "reopen" it in case it was closed by mistake. I think it would be a huge oversight if Microsoft didn't think people would need to reopen a order if closed by accident.

Anyone know how to do this?

    Hello,

Not possible to change the Status back to Release. You can use the Item Journal to correct Consumption.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hello,

Please be careful using the link Yun sent. This will decouple the ILE from the Production Order which will make Statistics inaccurate. After you change Status to Finished, you are done with using Consumption Journal to link to a Production Order. Its just not allowed. Safest approach is the Item Journal correction and use Reason Code to denote it was against a Production Order.

    Thanks,

    Steve
