Changing Quote Status Reason

Hi Community

I edited Status Reason field, added some statuses, changed the default value. Unfortunately I was not able to see status reason transition. Is this feature still available in Dynamics 365 or moved some where else?

reference:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/customize/define-status-reason-transitions

Thank you
Kal

Hi, I guess the feature is not available for Quote entity, as stated in the reference you posted :

"You can specify status reason transitions for the Incident (Case) entity or a custom entity."

I don't know exactly what your requirements are, but once you define the fields for your status and status reason flow, you can add some business rule to handle the logic.

    Thank you Marco.

The type Draft is some how confusing to the user. I went to customizing and added "In-Progress" to Status Reason field and make it default. Still when I open new quote or view the opened quotes at the dashboard still I see draft and not "In-progress".

I created Workflow to change field status to "In-progress" when new record created but still that did not help.

Thank you for your feedback once again

That sounds like a really strange behaviour, are you sure that you're looking at the right field? Maybe the draft you see Is the status (statecode) and not you status reason (statuscode).

Anyway in your code be sure to update both statecode and statuscode as this two fields depends on each other!

It seems correct, Just uncheck the as "On demand Process" if you want it to trigger by itself everytime a record is created.

And be sure to expose the right field in your views and form, otherwise you'll still be able to see the statecode (uncustomizable)values.
