Could somebody give me some ideas how to monitor changing in AOD?

I've created a report based on the SysUtilElements report which I run every week and save as a PDF in a folder. It shows which objects were modified, when, and by whom. These are the fields:

UtilElements_recordType
UtilElements_name
UtilElements_utilLevel (Layer)
displayUserName()
UtilElements_modifiedDate
UtilElements_modifiedTime

or use tools>development tools>application objects>application objects to open the utilelements table and filter it by layer & date; then use copy & paste to extract the records to an excel spreadsheet
