insufficient rights to execute menu item "workstation"

hi,

here one user complained me that he is not able to access a menu item "workstation".

he is getting message as "insufficient rights to execute menu item workstation".

this work station values are taken from the table SARMaintenance Request Header.

pls help me with this issue ....

    Hi Lakshmi,

    The mentioned table is not standard AX. It must be part of a customization or add-on in your environment.

    Can you indicate the version of AX you are using? There are major differences between security in AX2012 and all previous versions.

    In AX2012 the menu item should be attached to one or more privileges which controls the access level, e.g. full control or read only. The privilege is attached to a duty which will contain one or more privileges to perform a task in AX. The duty (or the privilege directly) is attached to one or more roles. Normally this should also be part of an add-on or customization. Thanks to the menu access AX knows the form and tables used from the menu-item and, if not overriden, the acces to the table is handled automatically.

    In AX2009 you have to define security groups yourself. So no out of the box security roles/groups are available. Here you have to define access to menu items and tables separately.
