The menu item with name projinvoiceproposalnormalperiodic could not be opened.

Hi, 

I am using D365FO Update 10 in local VHD.

When I click OK after having chosen parameters in the Create invoice proposals dialog, I receive this error:

"The menu item with name projinvoiceproposalnormalperiodic could not be opened."

I have only seen this link on the web suggesting that this is a known issue, but does not appear to have a fix:

Any ideas?

I have tried attaching VS to the w3p process but nothing is caught.

    You only indicated the platform version and not which release of Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations you have installed.  The KB for this issue is KB 4042252.

    Hi Sukrut,

    The object is defined as expected in the AOT.

    I has refreshed the models via:

    VS > D365 > Model Management > Refresh Models

    I then recompiled all models via:

    VS > D365 > Build Models > Select all >Build

    This has not resolved the issue.

    I hadn't noticed before but this (very generic) info log is also displaying:

    "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

    The KB listed is the fix for this application version. Building the model will not help in this case.
