Cancel/correct delivery note?

Hi,

Does anybode know why the buttons "cancel" and "correct" on packing slip journal form are deactivated?

Is there a parameter controlling if this functionality is allowed?

Could it be that it is not allowed when using WHS? Our customer are posting the packing slip the load in the Warehouse management module.

Looking forward to some advice.

Looking at the code, in relation to WHS there is a check to see if the Packing slip is related to a Sales order which has Work. But the buttons should be active if the work is Cancelled or Completed. I confirmed this with a test in the Contoso VM.

However, I have read comments elsewhere which describes that the 'un-packed' quantity will become 'stuck' if the item is a WHS enabled item. You'll not be able to cancel the un-packed quantity, and you'll also not be able to release it to the warehouse again. If you find this, I think you'll discover that Cancel/Correct Packing Slip (and Product receipt) is not yet supported in WHS.

    Hi Guy,

I is there any workaround or hotfix for this?

    Thanks

    Hi Robert.

I'm not sure. You could take a look at hotfix 3018327 (it's included in CU9).

Although reading the hotfix description, it seems that the change is to make AX throw an error if WHS is enabled, rather than actually allowing you to use the funcitonality in a WHS scenario.

    Thanks Guy,

Yeah it looks like it stops you cancel the packing slip altogether. The only work around now to repost the packing slip is to use the Update line > Pick on the Packing slip posting form.
