Installing Dynamics AX SP1 and rollups on components later installed

Hello,

i have an AOS Server with the client on it. I installed SP1 and Rollup 5. The Server is running well.

Today, month later, i decided to also install Workflows and Enterprise Portal on this server. The RTM Installation went good. But when i wanted to install SP1 and Rollup5 the installation routine tells me that there is nothing to update!

In the installation guide of Enterprise Portal is written that it is very important to install SP1 when the AOS has SP1 - but i can't do that.

How can i install SP1 and Rollup 5 on Components which haven't been installed when SP1 and Rollup 5 have been installed the first time?

    as you have written that You have installed Ax2009(RTM),SP1,RU5 in sequence.

    as you mentioned that "in the installation guide of Enterprise Portal is written that it is very important to install SP1 when the AOS has SP1"

    it is showing "there is nothing to update!" because you have installed SP1 and RU5 earlier,it has already updated the Enterprise Portal Related Classes in first run. so that's why it is showing nothing to update.

    No you got me wrong!

    I installed Client and .Net BC and Workflows and for all oft hem SP1 and RU5. Weeks later i decided to also install enterprise Portal on the same server. I can install it as RTM but can never update SP1!

    I opened a call at MS – and they told me „Works as designed“. In such a constellation you have to deinstall all components and reinstall all (with the new one) and after that you can apply SP1 and RU5.
