Changing fiscal year dates

Our current fiscal year begins April 1....We are changing to a calender year fiscal year...Our upcoming year starting this April 1st will be a 9 month year ending 12/31/15...We then move to the next fiscal Year starting 01/01/2016. The issue is our current year is called 2015 in the fiscal periods and technically this 9 month stub year is also 2015...We do not want to call it 2016 as that will confuse things when we start the calender year next January. Can we call this new bridge year of april-through December some arbitrary number like 2515?

My concern is how this effects management reporter and accessing the correct reports

    RE: Changing fiscal year dates

You can create this 9 month periods as 2515, then year 2016 will start with January.

I think, it won't affect anything on your management reporter year (I am not sure). Better you can restore your company data to test serve and try the same.

    Hope this helps!!!
