Hi everyone,

If I want to o migrate code from NAV 2009 to NAV  2017 Do I have to pass by NAV 2013 in the merging process or a direct merge to 2017 will do the job? Thanks in advance

No not for code, let me explain it all:

    1. There is no direct upgrade tool kit from NAV 2009 to NAV 2017.
    2. Then you do have 2 options:
      1. Do full upgrade from NAV 2009 to NAV 2013 (technical upgarde and merge 100% normal upgrade from NAV 2009 to NAV 2013), then do another full upgrade from NAV 2013 to NAV 2017.
      2. Or, you do first a full Upgrade from NAV 2009 to NAV 2015 (as the toolkit is available from nav 2009 to NAV 2015)(also while doing this you will have to pass by nav 2013 only to do a technical upgrade of the databases), then you can do an upgrade from NAV 2015 to NAV 2017 (your choice either technical only, or full upgrade).
      3. P.S. when you see the word 'full upgrade' this means you need to merge, when you see the word 'technical upgrade' you do not need merge.
    3. To get furhter insights about this, check my blogs:

Yes then you can go directly, but check the object which were removed by microsoft  and you have code written for those objects.

No I just need the code added so no data involved

I think yes you have to pass by NAV 2013, cause there is a data upgrade process from 2009 to 2013.
