Message #0 missing new install GP2010

I am attempting to load GP2010 on a new notebook. It loads fine with no errors, however, when attempting to log in I get a "Message #0 missing" error. I have found previous entries of this problem with earlier versions of GP but those instances did not occur with new installs.

I was able to figure this out and figured I would share it just in case someone else runs into this problem. We checked the GP server application logs and found that it was producing login failures. I'm not sure why GP gave a "Message #0 missing" error message instead of the normal login failed message. Anyway, I reset the password and it worked.
