Import Excel file to Update the data with Option set field

Hi Friends,

when i try to update the records through the excel and in the excel i have changed the value of Option set field from ("Approved") to ("Rejected").

I am getting the error called("The source data is not in the required format").

Please suggest me the best way to import the option set field value("string") through the Excel.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi Sashikant ,

Try to export same field in excel and check what is the actual format seems you are providing wrong value.

You should put only Approved instead of ("Approved").

Have you copied Approved in option sheet column?

Change it by selecting options then it will work.

Hi

Like others suggested make sure your CSV has the correct values.

I have tested an import with the following mapping and it works

My Excel File Data

And during the import I map as shown below

As you can see if it picked your option set values (values on the left are from CSV) correctly during import, you should have had option like the above, if you mapped then it should work fine.

I did but its not working maybe its because there is no value associated with the Text ("Approved") which is a value of that option.

maybe its working because you are creating new records to the CRM not updating them.

Its a option set field and i am selecting the value from the options available in the excel but still its throwing the same error.

Could you please share screenshot of optionset field and also excel which you are trying to import.
