Number sequence on Custom Field on Receipt

Hi,

Our goal is to have a custom field on our receipts that based its value from a Number Sequence and it should also auto increments.

But we are unable to find on how to link a number sequence to a custom receipt field. Are we missing something?

I also tried using CRT extension following this article:
Extend Commerce Store receipts - Commerce | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Docs

but I'm stuck on fetching a number sequence value and auto incrementing it.

Thoughts?
