Hi Everyone,

My problem about hide Sub Area in site map by designer or XRM tool. I try the both but its not hidden yet.

Have anyone a solution for this problem.

Steps I Did:

  1. Create entity for given a group of users the access to see the subarea like admins.
  2. Checks the security roles
  3. Update the sitemap by Editor: Steps for each subarea:
    1. Add to Sub Area a privilege with entity name like "newSecurityRole".
    2. Check the read property.
    3. Save
  4. Publish the update.

Tools I used:

  • Site Map Editor plugin in XRM tool.

Plz reply.

    Hi,

You would also need to verify if user is associated to any Team and Team has any role assigned.

Please mark my answer verified if this is helpful!

    Hi Ahmed,

Maybe you can try to clear browser cache to test again.

Have you checked that security roles of the currently logged in user does not have read access for "newSecurityRole" entity?

    Hi Leah,

I follow the link, it raise the same issue. Can the privilege delaying depends on the server caching time or another thing like that.

    Hi Ahmed,

You can refer following link for more detailed steps:

Solved: Hide entities from sitemap based on security role ... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

    Note:

You need check security roles of users who can't view the sub-area, these roles should not give read access to "newSecurityRole" entity.
