Our firm would like to send invoices to our clients using the standard EDI Invoicing format.  Does anyone know if Great Plains v10 has the EDI capabiities built into the product or supports this somehow?

    Hi Yolanda. A lot of our customers use EDI. Mainly they contract with a third party EDI processor to handle the transmission and formating of EDI data to their trading partner. We then develop export utilities to create SOPand RM export files in the format required by the EDI processor, including transmission history, retires, re-exports, reporting etc. etc.

    I'm not aware of anything available specifically within GP to handle EDI transmisions in the formats we require. The nearest might be Electronic Document Delivery and this might be worth a look.

    Where are you based? I'm based in Ireland. The EDI Processors we use are in Ireland or the UK - not sure if they would suit you if you are in the US (ie supported file formats / trading partners etc.) , but I can pass on details if you want to ask them yourself.     I am based in the US.  I didn't realize that you were located in Ireland.  Thanks for offering to make the business connection however I think it best that I look for a processor in the US.

    My company, eBridge Software (www.ebridgesoft.com), is an EDI integration company. As a MS Gold Partner we have developed a solution that will pull the invoice information out of your MS Dynamics GP 10, transform that data into the EDI format of the recipient and then send it electronically to the recipient on your behalf. We do not charge per transaction or kilo-character and we give you the ability to send unlimited documents across our network.     Hello Yolanda,

    I work for DiCentral Corporation located in Houston, Texas.  Great Plains has a tool called eConnect which can be used to import and export data.  DiCentral has an adapter for Great Plains that uses eConnect to import purchase orders and export invoices.  In addition to this adapter, our EDI services are completely managed ("in the cloud")  and as such all integration, mapping, connectivity, and routing and translation are handled for our customers.  I have a great Dynamics Great Plains case study that I can send you.  Feel free to contact me.  If I can not help you then I will point you in the right direction. :)
