solution With Id Does Not Exist

CRM Info:

Issue: Failing to Import a Managed Solution to target environment

Error: Failing on a Report component, Solution With Id = {GUID} Does Not Exist

I'm assuming this solution or certain records are orphaned. I have done a SQL Search for the solution ID {GUID} in both the Source DB and Target DB and no results were returned. I also looked for the {GUID} in the Customizations.xml, Solution.xml, etc. files within the .Zip file and no luck their either.

Anybody else run into this issue before and have a resolution?

Maybe this is a corrupted metadata cache issue. Have you tried an IISReset?

I have tried resetting IIS and it still fails to import with the same error.

My error is not "Cannot insert duplicate key."

My error in the xml log file is: Solution with Id = {GUID} Does Not Exist

Could you please include an exception together with the call stack ? maybe we can get more insight from there

Worked with Microsoft on this issue and they had to write up SQL scripts to fix this.

Ultimately they created a temporary solution with a solution id of the missing id that was causing the error. Once that temporary solution was created via their scripts, I was then able to successfully import my solution.

    Hello Haris,

I see that this is an old post but will try my luck to get a response.

Is there anyway you could share either the SQL script you got or a similar template of the script, I have seen multiple posts here all having to run this script.
