Difference in segment and journey numbers

Hi,

has anyone experienced the following. We have created a segment with 73000 contacts. Then we build a customer journey in RTM and added the segment. The journey is activated and I see 74K contacts in the customer journey. If I click on the link in the segment in the journey I see the number 73000. I have never seen this before and it worries me because people who should not be in the journey are in the journey. Any thoughts?

I have the same question (0)

Difference in segment and journey numbers
Hi, we are experiencing the same behaviour in our system, we already created a support ticket for Microsoft. Did you ever find the cause and solution for this problem?

It has happened more often. The workaround we use now is to create a dynamic segment and if it is for a one of campaign/email we make it static to avoid new people will be added. Although I do not think it is the actual problem because the segment I refer to has still the same number and is added to the customer journey. But the customer journey shows a different numeber.

    Hi Anna,

Have you tried to create a new segment and test again?

After testing, is the issue happens in all segments or the special segment?

    Best Regards,

    Sayen Zhang

thank you for your reply. The journey has been build in Outbound Marketing (not real time).

    Hi Anna,

Have you tried to add segment in Exit by segment?

If so, customers who are part of this segment will immediately exit the journey. This helps you ensure that members of this segment are suppressed from the customer journey. Exit by segment will remove members of that segment from wherever they are in the customer journey.
