Good day.

I am just keen to know if they is a way in Dynamics CRM 2016(or any version) to audit user access to a record. For example if I want to know the users who just accessed(Not updating) a Contact record. In that way I can see which are the users who looking the details of that particular Contact.  

Please let me know your comments. Let me know if my question is not clear.

    I don't think this is possible out of the box. However, you can achieve it using JavaScript. On load, run a JavaScript function which creates a record in a separate entity and saving information such as the record which was opened and the user who opened it.

    Hello.

    Unfortunatetly there is no such OOB functionality implemented in the CRM systems. You can only audit the login of an user into CRM.

    For auditing the access to a record you must programming this via JScript. Every time a user opens a record, the script creates a new audit record in a related entity.

    We use such a function since CRM 2011.
