Auto Generate Stock Base Price from cost?

I've been trying to find a way to easily auto-calculate a Stock Base Price from average cost? If the average cost changes, the stock base price would also change automatically.

It would be even better if it could be tied to a Product Class. I know there is a minimum profit margin warning, but that just gives a warning and doesn't actually *do* anything.

ie: Product Class: "Widgets" always gets a 10% margin based off average cost

Product class "Custom Widgets" always gets a 20% margin based off average cost
