Email stats in Microsoft Fabric and PowerBI

I've done the hard work and got Microsoft Fabric into Power BI with all my customer insights data.

However I can't work out how to relate tables like EmailSent to msdynmkt_email.

All I want is a table of all emails along with how many sents, opens etc it has.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    • EmailSent, EmailOpened, etc., contain a foreign key:
→ OutboundMessageId or msdynmkt_emailid (depending on schema origin/version).
    • msdynmkt_email (Email table):
      → Primary key: msdynmkt_emailid
    Steps to Get the Metrics:
    1. Create relationships in Power BI Model view:
      EmailSent[OutboundMessageId] → msdynmkt_email[msdynmkt_emailid]
      EmailOpened[OutboundMessageId] → msdynmkt_email[msdynmkt_emailid]
      (same for Clicked, Bounced, etc.)

      2. Create a summary table (DAX example):

      EmailStats =
      ADDCOLUMNS (
          msdynmkt_email,
          "Sents", CALCULATE(COUNTROWS(EmailSent)),
          "Opens", CALCULATE(COUNTROWS(EmailOpened)),
          "Clicks", CALCULATE(COUNTROWS(EmailClicked))
      )

      3. Visualize in Power BI:
      • Use a matrix or table visual with columns from msdynmkt_email and measures from interaction tables.
