How many methods to do allocation and what is the procedure to do that?

May I ask how many allocation methods in AX 2012?

And what is the step the create allocation for Financial purpose?

Hi carricechiu,

If you are using the AX2012 cost accounting module, you can define many additional allocation methods. However, a financial purpose is not a element for which you could define an allocation out of the box in AX2012. You need either a ledger account, financial dimension or a combination of both.

Why do you need to do allocations on financial purposes?

Can you provide some additional details on your requirement?
