Secured Fields cannot be updated or created by Administrator or User

Hi,

I have created some secured fields in contact entity. I created Field Security Profiles and gave read, update, delete access to the fields to some of the users. But still those users were not able to update the secured fields. Even System Administrator cannot update the secured fields or change the FSP settings.

I don't what is the reason.

    Hi Thanks all for the reply,

    We are using MS Dynamics CRM 2011. Unfortunately this issue only happens in production not in uat.

    I cannot make any field as secure. When I secure a field then no one even administrator cannot access. I have logged in as administrator and enabling the Field Security for a field in contact entity and publish. After publishing no one can access the field. As a admin I cannot even disable the field security for that field in production. To disable field security I have to disable the field security in uat and import it to production.

    If you were doing it directly on organization as unmanaged customizations, the don't forget to publish all customizations:

    Hi Jaya

    There is no such possibility that a system admin cannot update or create a field with security. Please check role of the user. See if they have got system admin profile or not.

    Did you created a custom security role?

    Hi Jaya,

    can you let us know which version of CRM you are using and if there is any error if the suer tries to update the field.
